New Road Safety Campaign For Midlands Summer Events

Interactive breathalysers called ‘FlineBox’ machines will be in place.

A new road safety campaign will see people able to take on-the-spot breath tests at Midlands summer events.

The Road Safety Authority will be setting up interactive breathalysers called ‘FlineBox’ machines at major events, including the Galway Races, Electric Picnic and the National Ploughing Championships.

It's aimed at reducing drink-driving.

The initiative kicked off at Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' show in Malahide Castle in Dublin on Wednesday night.
