The initiative takes place this Friday as part of YourCouncil Day.
Children with Autism in Laois are set to be part of a new initiative for STEM.
The enterprise to explore science, technology, engineering and maths will include free workshops across the county, bringing the subjects to life for kids with autism and special educational needs.
Students will be given the opportunity to built a robot car from scratch and then learn how to drive it during two hour sessions.
