'Night-owls' will benefit from the launch of a new fund aimed at sound-proofing late night venues.
The €70,000 grant will be made available to 12 pilot venues around the country, as part of the Government's plans to boost the night-time economy.
The new €2 million Noise Mitigation Grant Scheme will fund 70% of capital works carried out.
Plans are also in the pipeline to extend nightclub opening hours until 6am.
