No Cost Of Disability Payment Progress As Carer Support Promises Stall

None of the 34 commitments were fully delivered.

There was no progress on Government commitments to introduce a cost of disability payment or the provision of alternative respite options for carers last year. 

They're among 13 areas within the Programme for Government to show no progress in the first year of term, according to the Family Carer Scorecard for 2025. 

None of the 34 commitments were fully achieved, while four were regressive.
