TDs and senators are being told journalism is under threat due to the growing rise of generative AI.
The Oireachtas Committee on Artificial Intelligence is hearing from representatives from newspaper publishers, as well as media literacy organisations and experts.
Those representative say without regulation, AI generated text and images are vulnerable to being manipulated by 'bad actors'.
