Nursing Homes Ireland Issue Government Warning Over Closures

31 nursing homes, including three in the midlands, have closed in the last three years.

The Government is being warned nursing homes will have to close due to financial pressures.

Three have closed over the past three years in the midlands, with two in Westmeath and one in Offaly.

Nationally, 31 nursing homes have closed in the past three years.

Nursing Homes Ireland says a Fair Deal Rate pricing mechanism is no longer fit for purpose.
