The Minister for Agriculture was in Laois this week.

Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue was in the county on Tuesday, where he was shown the impact the weather has had on tillage farms in Laois.
Chair of the Irish Grain Growers Association, Bobby Miller, met with Minister McConalogue, and told him other issues have impacted the sector negatively in recent times, such as the nitrates directive.
