Banagher's Dr.Páraic Tracey is from the School of Post-Primary Education at Mary Immaculate Limerick and is one of the authors of a new report on the topic.
The paper found there's nearly an 130% increase in the number of students choosing to sit Higher Level, with most saying the 25 extra points was the reason.
