The proposal has gained traction with lobby groups in Ireland.

An Offaly accountant believes the idea of introducing a four day working week in Ireland is Balderdash. 

The proposals are being put forward by the Labour party in the UK but has also gained traction with lobby groups here.

Irish company ICE has already introduced the measures -- with staff in their Galway headquarters working Monday to Thursday.
