An Offaly accountant is branding the new Covid Wage Subsidy Scheme an "unmitigated mess".

The government is offering various payments to companies and employees impacted by the coronavirus outbreak.

But John McCann from MCM Accounting in Tullamore says tax now affects net pay rather than gross pay, and will create a lot of difficulty later in the year.
