Offaly Accountant Unhappy With Revised Wage Subsidy Scheme

John McCann from MCM Accounting says it discriminates against the self employed.

The revised wage subsidy scheme includes an attack on the self employed, according to an Offaly accountant. 

The government announced that the Employment wage subsidy scheme will replace the temporary scheme from September 1st. 

Qualifying criteria have been amended to exclude business owners who are directors of their company. 

John McCann from MCM accounting in Tullamore doesn't accept there should be a trade-off because of some benefits enjoyed in comparison with PAYE employees:
