An Offaly Athletic Club is launching a major fundraising campaign with a target of €150,000 to support its future development plans.
The initiative centres on a Daingean Naomh Mhuire Athletic Club community running event scheduled for September 26, with more than 100 participants already registered.
So far, the campaign has raised over €66,000.
Supporters can sponsor individual participants, with local families, businesses and athletic clubs among the campaign's leading donors.
Club officials are encouraging the wider community to get involved as they continue working towards their ambitious fundraising goal.
