An Offaly boy is "raring to go" after having life-saving surgery in the US.
Tullamore two-year-old, Joey Conway, is on the mend after the eight-hour procedure for treatment on a rare condition called Portal Hypertension, in Chicago last week, which went "as well as it possibly could," according to the surgeon.
Joey and his family travelled to the States late last month, after a massive fundraising effort saw over €300,000 raised for the little boy.
His mum and dad, Natalie and Tommy, have been speaking to Midlands 103's David Hollywood, and says they're trying not to get ahead of themselves:
