This comes as the price of the units has been released.
It is costing the state up to up to 443,000 for each modular unit constructed for refugees.
The figures have been released to Aontú Leader Peadar Tóibín TD, who says these costs do not include buying the sites or the land.
The Meath West TD believes its another example of waste by the Government as the units will only last for 50 or 60 years.
Deputy Tóibín says "This is a hugely expensive short term fix, which constitutes an unforgiveable waste of public money. Likewise we see when it comes to asylum seekers the government is forking out billions to private companies to accommodate them in hotels. In the long run it would be far cheaper for the government to purchase or construct housing or accommodation centres, be it for Irish people, refugees or homeless people. That way a permanent asset would remain in public ownership, and could be sold for a profit in years to come if it was not needed. But no, the government continue to lease at an extortionate rate and spend up to half a million apiece constructing temporary modular units".
Offaly Fianna Fail TD Tony McCormack says while these costs are high, it was during a time of emergency for the Ukranians.
