Claire Murray wants Offaly County Council to perform safety checks on all playgrounds in the county.
The local authority should increase safety checks on public playgrounds throughout Offaly.
Fianna Fail Councillor for Edenderry Claire Murray says playground committees are finding it difficult find people to volunteer their time to do so.
Offaly County Council does currently carry out playground safety checks, but only on sites owned by the council.
