Offaly County Council Issues Rates Invoices To Businesses

The local authority says they were statutory obligated to do so.

The decision by Offaly County Council to send rates invoices to business owners is being described as a joke. 

Fianna Fáil rep Frank Moran believes central government to subsidise any shortfall in funding at a local level. 

In an online Zoom call on Monday, the finance director of the local authority told representatives it was a statutory obligation to send the letters.
