Offaly Divers Find Hidden Artefacts Underneath The River Shannon

All items recovered are being sent to the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin for identification. 

Three swords, a helmet, spears, guns and a cannonball have been discovered in the River Shannon in the last year. 

Offaly Sub Aqua Club, who are scouring the river-bed for artefacts, believe it's the first time such a project has been undertaken in the area. 

All items recovered are being sent to the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin for identification.
