Offaly IFA Backs Long Term Investment In Climate Action

A new report titled "Towards a Just Transition in Agriculture and Land Use". is being launced by The Just Transition Commission.

The chair of the Offaly IFA branch feels there needs to be more structured long term funding for farmers tackling climate action.

The Just Transition Commission is launching a new report called 'Towards a Just Transition in Agriculture and Land Use', as Government prepares major decisions on the Climate Action Plan.

The commission includes Midlands members such as Offaly's Brian Flynn,director and chair of An Síolán.

Ten recommendations are listed, including improving these funding strands and supporting diverse farming systems.
