Offaly Jockey Pat Smullen Has Passed Away

He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2018.

Offaly's Pat Smullen has passed away.

The Rhode jockey was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2018.

He died this evening in St. Vincent's Hospital in Dublin.

He was a nine-time Irish champion jockey. 

The 43 year old was given Horse Racing Ireland's Irish Hero of the Year Award 2019.
