Offaly Leisure Centre Looking At Covid-19 Cases Before Making Decision On Re-Opening

The board says the facility doesn't qualify for the Restart Grant.

An Offaly Leisure Centre says it will be looking at the COVID-19 cases in the county before making a decision on reopening.

The community owned facility in Birr was forced to close its door for a second time after the Government imposed restrictions in the county earlier this month. 

Board Member John Carroll says they will meet this week to decide on its future. 

The Independent councillor says the facility doesn't qualify for the Restart Grant and overheads are very high:
