An Offaly man is reminiscing about the time he met an Oscar winner in the 1990's, without knowing who he was.
Oscar winner Brad Pitt has been in Ballyadams in Laois this week filming his new movie, The Riders.
The film is an adaptation of Tim Winton’s Booker Prize, shortlisted novel of the same name, in which the protagonist begins a new life in Ireland.
Edenderry's John Quinlan met Mr Pitt as well as his parents when they visited Laois in 1993, as Bar Manager of the Montague Pub, with his staff members wanting a photo with the A-List celebrity.
