Tullamore's Angela Briggs has been waiting for hip surgery for her daughter Tyra for several years.

An Offaly mother who cares for her daughter is expressing her deep frustration over continued delays to an essential surgery for her daughter.

20 year old Tyra Briggs from Tullamore suffers from both hip dysplasia and scoliosis, and has undergone multiple operations throughout her life.

She's been waiting for another one for her right hip since at least May 2023, and continues to face delays to her surgery date.

Her mother Angela says there's a constant pushback:
