Offaly School Calls For Urgent Road Safety Measures

Almost 100% of vehicles are not obeying speed limits near Cloneyhurke NS.

A rural Offaly primary school is calling for urgent road safety upgrades for its community.

The Green Schools committee at Cloneyhurke National School recently carried out a walkability audit, which found 97% of vehicles were not obeying the 50 km/h speed limit at peak times.

They're calling for measures such as speed ramps and road resurfacing.
