11 new classrooms and two SEN unit rooms are being built at Tullamore's Colaiste Choilm.
Construction is starting on a major extension to expand the overall capacity on an all-boys school in an Offaly town.
The planned three story extension for Colaiste Choilm in Tullamore was granted conditional approval in 2022 by Offaly County Council subject to 4 conditions.
11 new classrooms are planned which will increase the current intake of students to around 750 pupils, alongside two new SEN unit rooms.
New car parking and bike spaces, EV charging spaces and other landscaping works are included in the development.
