According to the CSO’s flash inflation estimate, food inflation in Ireland remained broadly unchanged, increasing by just 0.1% year on year, while food prices fell 0.2% month on month.
The latest Eurostat flash estimate, published last Thursday, points to a sharp acceleration in unprocessed food inflation across the EU, with several member states recording increases of 5% to 7%.
