Plans for a new autism unit in Birr were approved in 2018.
The Minister for Education is being pushed for an emergency debate over works still to begin at an Offaly school.
Works for an ASD unit and extension had been given the green light for St Brendan's Community School in Birr in 2018.
However, a contractor has yet to be appointed to the project.
