Larry Murrin appeared before the Oireachtas Agriculture Committee in Leinster House yesterday.
The Chairperson of Bord Bia has lost the dressing room, according to an Offaly TD.
Independent TD Carol Nolan believes Larry Murrin no longer has the confidence of farmers or consumers nationwide following his company Dawn Farm Foods’ importation of a limited quantity of Brazilian beef.
Mr Murrin appeared before the Oireachtas Agriculture Committee yesterday, after farmers staged a protest outside the Dáil, calling for his resignation.
Deputy Nolan says he should resign from his position:
Meanwhile the head of the Irish Farmer's Association is standing by his members who occupied the Bord Bia headquarters earlier this week.
