Offaly Teen Fasted For Five Days Awaiting Surgery

The procedure was postponed because of lack of availability of theatre in a Dublin hospital

The mother of an Offaly minor footballer who waited five days for surgery in a Dublin hospital describes the experience as an  ''eye-opener'' and a ''rollarcoaster''. 

Corey White spent the week fasting in St. James' Hospital while an operation to repair his cheekbone was continually postponed. 

He sustained the injury during a match against Clara on September 11th.
