The Banagher Shannon Bank Park has seen damage to its pods and life buoys.

An Offaly tourism attraction has already been hit with vandalism, only a month after its official launch.

Pods and benches at the Banagher Outdoor Swimming Pool have been smeared with mud, while litter was strewn across the Shannon Bank Park.

Life buoys were also tampered with at the site.

They're the only water safety measure in place ahead of a lifeguard being assigned to the pool next month.
