Switcher.ie has been studying the best places to work remotely.
Tullamore has been named as the worst place in Ireland for 5G and fibre broadband.
However, it joins Portlaoise as the only towns in the region to crack the top 50 of Switcher.ie's Best Places to Work From Home.
Castlebar in Mayo has been crowned at the top of that list.
The town topped the list due to house prices being lower and access to high quality broadband and 5G mobile phone coverage.
Castlebar was also named as the best town for families to live due to having a range of amenities and green spaces available.
The study found Longford town was the cheapest place to live with average prices of €162,899.
