An Offaly cyclist has raised almost €8,000 for Sightsavers Ireland by cycling 840km across Sri Lanka.
Sinéad Greenan from Mountbolus was motivated by her own visual impairment to take on the challenge for children and adults with eye conditions.
Sightsavers Ireland work to prevent avoidable blindness and promote eye health in low and middle income countries.
She solo cycled 6 - 8 hours daily over two weeks in 30 degree heat, and wants to raise €8,400 in total, which would be €10 for every kilometer she cycled.
