The Tullamore man led the Faithful to Liam McCarthy Cup success in 1981.
Offaly’s first All-Ireland winning hurling manager Andy Gallagher has died at the age of 89.
The Tullamore man led the Faithful to the first of their four Liam McCarthy Cups after victory over Galway in 1981.
He also won six county titles with Tullamore, three in hurling and three in football.
He was the captain when the Blue’s won their first Sean Robbins Cup in 1964.
Mr Gallagher will be reposing at his home in Clonminch, Tullamore tomorrow from 2-7pm.
His funeral will take at the Church of the Assumption in Tullamore this Friday at 10am.
