Oireachtas Golf Society Makes Comeback, Two Years After GolfGate

The 2020 controversy led to a series of high-profile resignations.

The Oireachtas Golf Society will return to action this summer, for the first time since the GolfGate controversy in August 2020.  

Its first post-pandemic outing is taking place in Blessington, Co Wicklow, on July 21st.

The controversy led to a series of high-profile resignations, and four men were accused of breaking Covid restrictions - including former Westmeath senator Donie Cassidy.

But a judge dismissed the case in February.
