Offaly's Joe Sullivan is resigning from Fianna Fáil.
The outgoing Cathaoirleach of Wexford County Council who is resigning from Fianna Fáil, says the party's handling of the Presidential election last year was "one of the greatest political embarrassments" in the history of the State.
Offaly man Joe Sullivan is also pointing to the dismantling of the triple lock system and the handling of the Larry Murrin/Bord Bia dispute.
He believes Fianna Fáil is leaving its ordinary members behind in favour of excessively liberal policies.
