A midlands shopping centre has dealt with over 20 incidents, including thefts of high-end phones, since the start of November.
Manager of the Bridge Centre in Tullamore, John Cusack, says he's seen an increase in the number of people using kids to carry out thefts at their stores.
An Oireachtas Committee yesterday heard of a shoplifting "explosion," with some retailers describing the frequency of incidents as a pandemic.
