A local school is closing today as a result.
Over 300 people are affected by power outages in the midlands this morning.
A fault in Killeigh is affecting 285 customers.
It has an expected restoration time of 6 o'clock this evening.
Killeigh National School is closed today due to the power outage.
Meanwhile, 45 homes and businesses in Moate have also had their power cut, with that fault expected to be repaired by 3 o'clock this afternoon.
UPDATE AT 11.10:
Power has now been restored to 227 customers in the Killeigh area. However, 22 homes and businesses there remain without electricity.
The estimated restoration time for the Moate outage is now 3.30pm.
12 customers are now affected by an additional outage in Portarlington. Power is expected to be restored there by midday.
UPDATE AT 12.35:
The fault in Portarlington has now been repaired.
