Over 400 Patients On Trolleys Around Ireland Today

Six of those are in the midlands.

409 people are waiting for beds in hospitals around the country this morning.

INMO figures show 285 are in emergency departments, while 124 are in wards.

Six patients are in trolleys in the midlands, four of which are in Mullingar, with the remaining two in Portlaoise - Tullamore is yet to have a patient on a trolley this month.

University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected by overcrowding, with 88 people waiting for a bed.

That's followed by 39 at University Hospital Galway and 36 at Sligo University Hospital.
