Over 400 Patients On Trolleys Today

Two midlands hospitals are seeing no patients waiting on beds this morning.

447 people are waiting for beds in hospitals around the country this morning.

INMO figures show 338 are in emergency departments, while 109 are in wards.

There are just four patients on trolleys in the midlands, with all of those in Regional Hospital Mullingar.

University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected by overcrowding, with 82 patients on trolleys.

That's followed by 63 at Cork University Hospital, and 59 at University Hospital Galway.
