Applications are now open with claims being paid from July 14th.
Over 6,000 families in the midlands are in line for back to school allowance support.
€160 will be paid for children aged before 4 and 11, €285 will be allocated for those over the age of 12 in second level education to assist with the cost of school uniforms and footwear ahead of the new school term.
Over 2,100 families in both Laois and Offaly will receive the funding, and just under 2,500 payments will be made in Westmeath.
Applications for the Back-to-school allowance are open, with claims being paid from 14th July.
