€1.1m in funding has been announced to support local and national organic projects.
The Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Pippa Hackett, made the announcement today for 12 such initiatives.
It's aim is to support the target of having 10 percent of all land farmed organically by 2030.
Senator Hackett says "The projects selected cover a very broad area, from living mulches to advisory support for organic farmers to the potential for organic butter, and everything in between."
