Portlaoise, Crinkill and Mullingar are all set to get investments in local play facilities.
€60,000 is going to the Midlands to improve access to play and recreational facilities.
A total of €600,000 will be distributed among 30 local authorities nationwide.
Over €21,000 is being made available for to boost accessibility and biodiversity in the Páirc an Phobail Playground in Portlaoise.
The extension and refurbishment of the children’s playground at Grove Street in Crinkill will be awarded just over €19,500, with 20,500 euro going towards upgrade works to the Rotary Playground in the Mullingar Town Park.
