A number of supports are being highlighted as being crucial for those who suffered abuse.
Survivors of "abuse, neglect, pain and trauma" should have their voices heard.
That's according to Sinn Féin Longford Westmeath TD Sorca Clarke, speaking at a Joint Committee meeting on the 'Supports for Survivors of Residential Institutional Abuse' Bill.
Health, housing and the access to mental health supports are all factors being highlighted for legislating for victims.
