The restrictions will apply from 11pm to 7am each night.
Essential overnight water restrictions are being introduced in parts of Laois due to low treated water reservoir levels at the Ballyadams Reservoir on the Kyle Water Scheme.
The restrictions will apply from 11pm to 7am each night from tonight until further notice.
Areas affected include Ballylynan, Ballycorman, Ballyadams, Ballintubbert, Crannagh, and surrounding communities.
Uisce Éireann says the measures are needed because demand is outstripping supply and to protect daytime water availability for homes and businesses.
Customers are being urged to conserve water, report leaks, and sign up for Uisce Éireann's text alert service for updates.
