There are two choices for a site for the new Offaly facility.
Patient care needs to be top of the priority list when it comes to choosing a new Offaly hospice site, according to the Tánaiste.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly is due to make a choice between Arden Lane and the Wellwood Healthcare Campus for the new €20 million facility soon.
The Arden Lane site scored marginally better on an independent scoring matrix, however Minister Donnelly claims both sites are excellent.
