The tender process for the design of Mullingar facility closed at the end of August, with a public consultation set to begin soon.
Mullingar Pool Action Group met on Sunday to discuss progress on their objectives.
Lisa Corcoran is Chair of the group, and says the pool, which is planned to be a key part of the sports complex, will be the result of community co-operation:
