People across the midlands are predicted to spend an average of €513 on Christmas gifts this festive season.
Figures from a study by Paypal show the most generous gift givers in the region to be in Offaly at €671 expected to be spent per person.
That's followed by €518 in Laois and €350 in Westmeath.
Meanwhile, over 300 euro per person is forecast to be spent on Chirstmas nights out across the three counties.
