People Reminded To Check In On New Families This Christmas

Incidences of post-natal depression have been on the rise in lockdown.

People are being encouraged to check in on friends and family with new born babies, as incidences of post-natal depression are on the rise. 

Deputy Mayor of Athlone Louise Heavin, who gave birth in July says nothing can replace face-to-face contact but a phone call can also be a good form of support. 

Support services for new parents have been moved online since the on-set of the covid-19 pandemic.
