The Irish Blood Transfusion Service needs to keep supply up over the Christmas period.
People in Westmeath and Laois are being urged to donate blood this week.
Clinics are running in the Annebrook House Hotel in Mullingar from today until Thursday, between 4.30 and 8 o'clock each evening.
And also in the Killeshin Hotel in Portlaoise at the same times, from today until Wednesday.
