People Urged To Wear Black At Mullingar March This Afternoon

The demonstration takes place at two o clock at Market Square.

March for Mullingar is asking people to wear black this afternoon as protests about the ongoing traffic congestion continue. 

The latest demonstration takes place today at two o clock starting at Market Square in Mullingar and ending outside Westmeath County Council buildings.

Angela Maher of the Mullingar town team says the smart traffic lights system isn't working and is discouraging people from coming into the town, which is impacting on local businesses.

She's advocating active engagement with council and executive representation to relay the issues and come to an amicable solution:
