A large crowd gathered in Mullingar to welcome them home.
Westmeath footballers received a hero's welcome when they returned home with the Tailteann Cup.
They saw off Cavan 2-14 1-13 in Croke Park yesterday afternoon.
A superb Kieran Martin goal secured victory for the Lake County in a tight contest against their neighbours.
Crowds lined the streets of Mullingar last night to see Jack Cooney's men arrive home.
